We categorise our rough crystal specimens for sale in two ways: by size and by weight, ensuring flexibility to suit different preferences.
Sold Boxed by Size
Larger rough specimens are sorted and sold in boxed size categories based on their approximate dimensions:
# Up to 25mm
# 25-50mm
# 50-75mm
# 75-100mm
This allows for consistency in size selection, making it easier to choose pieces that meet your needs.
Sold by Weight
For crystals sold by weight, we categorise them in 100g increments. For example, if a crystal weighs 456g, it will be sold in the 400-500g category. This system provides transparency in pricing and weight selection.
Larger Individual Crystals
Once a crystal exceeds 2kg, it is classified as an individual item and weighed separately rather than placed within a weight category. This applies to pieces such as churches, which are priced based on their unique characteristics, size, and weight.
Smaller, Rarer Crystals
For rarer and smaller specimens such as Moldavite or Opal, we sell by gram increments rather than larger weight categories. This ensures precise measurements and fair pricing for these high-value pieces.
